What do your edtech star ratings mean?

Last Updated: Jun 20, 2018 04:07PM PDT
There are two types of learning ratings on our review pages. One is our expert editorial perspective on the learning potential of a tool, and the other is an aggregate of teachers' thoughts. The learning ratings are separate systems of evaluation from our privacy evaluations and are based on different rubrics. Learning ratings do not affect the privacy evaluation score and vice versa.

Common Sense Education learning rating breakdown:

• 1 star: Not Recommended, Poor (1 percent of total reviews)

• 2 stars: Conflicted, Fair (7 percent)

• 3 stars: Recommended, Good (48 percent)

• 4 stars: Highly Recommended, Very Good (40 percent)

• 5 stars: Best in Class, Excellent (4 percent)
